Thanks to Jimmy Liew for forwarding this to me, and to all the organizers for putting this together. Great job!

Quick Update:

Family:  Two children, Sal just turned 29 this year, he still lives at home. Richard will turn 27 in a few months. He also still lives at home.  They are both looking for part-time work, so if you hear anything let me know.  They are good kids; they just lack ambition although Richard did teach himself to smoke this year.  Having kids at such a young age may not have helpedbut my ex-girlfriend and I have NO regrets!

Career:  Since spending the summer of 89 working at The Gold Mine in our hometown Sooner Fashion Mall, my career has been in a holding pattern.  I dont blame the management team at The Gold Mine for blackballing me.  They were right I really could have done a better job of showing up on time.  For the employers who have ignored their blackball, during interviews I find that they are less and less interested in hearing about my accomplishments as Vice President of the Norman High School Class of 87. They ask me stupid questions like, What about the last 19 years?  Whatever.

Outlook:  I look at that picture of me on the left and wonder what happened to that boy who so confidently parted his hair straight down the middle. The last time I smiled so brightly, I was being fitted for the Senior Prom in my light gray tux and maroon cumber bund.  Please, help me rediscover that smile at Reunion in June 07!

Well, I decided that I might outta put just a little bit more info besides working alot and working on my website and snake breeding. It does sound kinda boring. After HS: Not long after high school, I had my first child at 20, he is now 18 years old and going to be a Senior next school year. I'm once divorced twice married. We have a 6 yo son. About the time of our 10 year my job had me traveling all over the country for work, installing and testing telephone networks for most of the major phone companies. For about 2 years I lived in Canada, which I did enjoy, other then the traffic going into and out of Toronto. I moved back to Texas and here I am still in Texas. I went to college for a while and left when it got to be very boring to me. I did go back again to Kilgore College here in East Texas and graduated 2nd in my class for the Police Academy. Yes I'm licensed to be a peace officer here in Texas. I worked in law enforcement for about 3 years until the stress of the job put me in the hospital and got burned out. I know work for a transportation company, and I am over 3 terminals in Arkansas. We do most everything out of our head office here in Kilgore. On the side I have began a website dedicated to reptile care and breeding of Ball Pythons, which I really love. I'm looking forward to the 20 year and to those of ya who took my hat at the 10 year to see how much hair I still had,its still mostly there LOL.Yeah I have a retreating hair line, who knows I may show up with my head shaved. Its only hair lol.

After receiving a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Missouri, I worked as a TV news anchor/reporter for 12 years at network affiliates in AR, IN, SC and NC.  In 2000, I left the TV News biz and transitioned into national account relations.  Working from a home office is definitely more conducive to raising two boys, Chase (8) and Dillon (3) as opposed to the demanding on-air schedules of TV news.  As a hobby, I take on freelance work as a host of lifestyle shows for Scripps Network (HGTV, DIY Network, Fine Living).  I am currently working as a national account relations manager for a Government Technology Solutions Firm just outside of Washington, D.C.  I plan to relocate from SC to Charlotte, NC. Looking forward to catching up with old friends and classmates next summer!

I've been teaching elementary music almost 15 years in the Norman Public School district (Kennedy & Monroe) and am currently working on my National Board Certification. I just came back from a two week trip to Zimbabwe, Africa where I learned more about the culture and music. It was amazing! I am still happily married to Bill Garner (87 grad) and we have two beautiful children, Lauren (11) and Christian (7). Between soccer games, violin and cello lessons, karate, boy scouts, camping and everything else you can squeeze in a week, we love just spending time together.  Can't wait to see everyone again!

After high school, I ran track on scholarship at the University of Oklahoma and received a degree in mathematics.  Once I graduated from college I began teaching high school math, married and then became a stay at home mom after the birth of our incredible twin girls - Megan and Madison (now 8).  Since the divorce from their father, I have been working as a high school math teacher at Moore High School.  I also met a wonderful man who is a police officer and K-9 handler for the State of Oklahoma.  We have now been married for the last two years and have recently been blessed with a beautiful baby girl named Kayla (now 5 months). I have never moved out of Norman and could never see myself anywhere else. Being a member of Journey Church and having my children attend Norman schools allows me to see a few 87 graduates but apparently there are a lot more still in Norman that I just never run into.  Therefore, I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion.  P.S.  I really wish someone would have destroyed my high school picture.

When I originally filled this out, I didn't know it was going in the directory. So, at the request of my better half I'm trying again. I got a Chemical Engineering Degree from OU in '91. Worked as an engineer and didn't like it, so went back to OU and got an MBA in 95. Married Melanie Wiens (class of NHS '88) in 95 and have been living in Tulsa since then working in the IT industry as a developer/DBA. I don't think I've ever run into another class of '87 grad in Tulsa. My son, Will Zachary was born in August of 2006. I'm sure he is why I am on this earth. You can read about our daily lives on my blog http://apps.craddockfamily.com/blog/. Thanks for doing the website. I am looking forward to seeing everyone at the reunion. Maybe I should bring my 1st grade class photo with pictures of some of you in it!

20 years. That's roughly 7300 days...more than half our lives ago! How many words to sum it all up? The best thing I did, and it took most of the those days, was to find my wife and best friend Karen. A close second is being a father to my son Nolan (with one more on the way). I know that many of you know what I mean when I say that these are joys that cannot be put into words. For those who don't yet know, I hope that you soon will. My physical sustenance comes from casting magic spells into computers to make them do strange and mysterious things. Non-sustenance activities include photography, welding, automotive mechanics, metalworking, household repairs, gardening, sound recording, bass guitar, photovoltaics, ancient sunlight, physical security, mindfulness, conservation.
